Duty, Honor, Love by Angela S. Stone

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ms. Stone is a new to me author who captured my attention from page one.  For those who enjoy dragons, psychics and crime fighting, this is the book for you.  If you enjoy erotic ménage, then you will be over the moon.  Cameron tries to fight his attraction to his partner, Jaden.  This is not easy to do since Jaden is a powerful telepath.  Trying to keep her out of his mind is a feat.

When the two are assigned a serial killer case where the child is both raped and then killed, it pulls the two of them closer together.  Jaden is put in a position where she needs more support and Cameron provides it to her.  This intimacy allows for dream walking and learning more about Jaden and a mysterious man named Paul.

This story has three different agendas going on and it is not exactly smoothly written together.  It feels as if to resolve the conflict in the story, a third plot device needed to be forced in.  This made the ending of the story a bit puzzling.  Not confusing, just leaves me bemused.  The first is the crime solving plot which is well done and holds the story together.  Honestly, without the erotic or stalking piece, this story would have been fine.  The erotic content with mmf ménage is sexy hawt.  Those who enjoy man on man action, Ms. Stone does a lovely job. Cameron and Paul heating up the sheets is a sight to see.

The third plot device which I'm going to reference in a vague manner to avoid spoiler is a bit more far-fetched.  I can understand the necessity of it to make the crime and stalking become a closed case.  It's a bit clunky put together.  It does remind me of the last few Catherine Coulter books which have two totally separate events going and yet it all comes together.  It can be done.  It just isn't quite there yet for Ms. Stone.  This romance is recommended for mmf ménage lover who have a fondness for dragons and psychics.
