July BDSM Summer Scavenger Hunts 2012
I just noticed I haven't updated any of my challenges as of late! Here's the instructions for the July BDSM Challenge Part I.
Welcome to our Summer Scavenger Hunts!
Do you enjoy the thrill of competition? Have a few more than a few BDSM books on your shelves? Need a friendly push to jump start or spark your reading? Well joint the Hunt dear friends....you never know what you are going to find around the corner in the next book.
THE HUNTS
These are Scavenger HUNTS. We'll start one on July 1st and then decide on the next start date depending on when the first one finishes but not to start later than August 1st if there is interest! Remember - Safe, Sane, and Consensual!
PRIZES
Listen up. Yeah yeah we know -- you're only in it for the money. Well the good news is..there is a $15 Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift card for:
The First person who completes each HUNT by earning 12 SPANKINGS*
and
The First person to complete both HUNTS
* A SPANKING is earned when you complete a category for the HUNT. You must earn 12 SPANKINGS to win the HUNT!
Challenge Rules
* You may not mix categories between the HUNTS
* To hold a HUNT there must be at least 5 participants
* ALL HUNTS officially BEGIN when the POST specifying the HUNT categories is posted on the first day of the HUNT.
* You may satisfy each category in any order you like. You do not have to do #1 first, #2 second, and so on. You just need to be good and earn those SPANKINGS!
* In each HUNT the rule is the books chosen to meet the category must be 75 pages or greater in length . Alternately if you want to combine books to equal the 75 page minimum that is fine - just remember that each book can only be used once and it has to fit the category.
* Each category book (s) can only be used ONCE - no re-reads or double counting in more than one category is allowed!
* Each HUNT has 15 categories. To WIN a HUNT you must earn 12 SPANKINGS . Remember: each category completion earns you ONE SPANKING. You may chose the 12 Categories that most appeal to you of the 15 available. Choose wisely - the rod of correction swings harshly for those who make unwise choices!
* In the I GOT A SPANKING thread you will need to keep your HUNT information updated. We also ask that you discuss the books in that thread - give your thoughts, review, etc in addition to the rating. This makes the HUNT more interactive and fun and gives us all a larger TBR pile!
* Only one gift card per person will be awarded. This gives everyone a chance to win!
* YOU MUST POST A HUNT COMMENT with your information contained in it IN THE "I GOT A SPANKING" THREAD SO THE LEADER OF THE HUNT CAN VIEW YOUR PROGRESS and SPANKINGS. The HUNT thread for scoring are not to be used for discussion right now but will be opened for discussion on the books once the HUNT starts.
If you do not have a comment with the required information in the appropriate thread you will not get credit for the HUNT. Instructions are provided. If you need help please PM Joellen (Moderator).
**** If you have questions please post below ***** Since this is a new type of challenge we expect there to be kinks (pun intended) to work out! In the spirit of good sportsmanship if you get stuck on finding a book that meets the category post a question here - and we'll try to help you find a good choice. BUT do not forget this is a competition - so use all the resources at your disposal - publisher's websites, amazon and Goodreads book blurbs, our bookshelves, all the various threads that talk about books we have in our group, the various lists and listopia's and so on.
